New Jeans (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Haerin, Hyein) has swept the top spot on major domestic music charts with their second mini album’s triple title track, “Super Shy.”

As of 11 a.m. on the 10th, “Super Shy” topped major domestic music charts, including Melon, Bugs, Genie, Naver Vibe, and Flo. Shortly after its release on the 7th, it quickly dominated the real-time charts on Bugs, Genie, and Naver Vibe. It entered the Melon Top 100 Chart at No. 20 by combining 24-hour and recent 1-hour usage rankings. It continued to climb steadily and reached second place on the second day of its release. Finally, on the third day (9th) at 10 p.m., it reached the top of the Melon Top 100 Chart.

The album’s prologue track, “New Jeans,” which was released together with “Super Shy,” also took second place on Bugs and Naver Vibe, showing its popularity comparable to the title track. It seems that the New Jeans syndrome, which dominated the domestic music charts with “Ditto” and “OMG” in the first quarter of this year, is being recreated once again.

The rise of New Jeans is also evident in global charts. “Super Shy” recorded 33rd place on Spotify’s Global Daily Top Songs chart on the 8th (local time), climbing 13 spots compared to the previous day. It also climbed one spot to 36th place on the daily top songs chart in the largest pop market, the United States. Even without local activities, New Jeans had a promising start on the Spotify US chart, raising even higher expectations for their future.
