Actress Kim Tae-hee’s agency published a statement on allegations of tax evasion.

Kim Tae-hee’s agency stated that Kim Tae-hee has been diligently paying her taxes in accordance with the tax laws for the past few years. The recent issue arose due to a delay in the payment of modelling fees for commercials that the client was supposed to pay to Kim Tae-hee’s former agency, Lua Entertainment, which expired at the same time as the contract.

The agency also clarified that both Kim Tae-hee and her former agency reported and paid taxes on their income, but there was a disagreement on whether the income should be considered as the agency’s revenue or Kim Tae-hee’s personal income. As a result, Kim Tae-hee paid additional taxes related to the income in question.
