JYP Entertainment has entered into a multi-year global strategic partnership with Live Nation, the world’s leading concert planning company, aiming to establish a collaborative system for top-notch concert business.
On the 14th, JYP Entertainment officially announced, stating, “Through the partnership with Live Nation, we will produce concerts for our lineup of artists, including TWICE, Stray Kids, ITZY, Xdinary Heroes (XH), NMIXX, and upcoming promising talents.” This collaboration follows their successful relationship in concert production and promotion over the past several years, taking it a step further.
The merger of JYP Entertainment, a talent discovery and management company with expertise, and Live Nation, which possesses vast global concert resources, is anticipated to create new opportunities for artists to connect with fans on a larger scale. Both entities plan to enhance the creativity and professionalism of JYP Entertainment’s artists, contributing to their global growth. Live Nation, active in over 45 regions worldwide, has sold over 140 million concert tickets globally by 2023, and this partnership is expected to expand the reach of K-pop concerts globally.
JYP Entertainment’s artists, including TWICE and Stray Kids, have achieved significant success with numerous world tours produced by Live Nation. TWICE made history as the first K-pop girl group to headline and sell out major North American sports stadiums, including performances at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles in June and MetLife Stadium in New York in July. In 2023, TWICE embarked on their fifth world tour, “READY TO BE,” covering 25 regions with 44 performances, solidifying their status as global stadium headliners.
Stray Kids established themselves as a global powerhouse with their second world tour, “MANIAC,” visiting 18 regions and holding 42 performances from Seoul in April, through North America, Japan, and Asia, concluding in Los Angeles in the United States. They achieved a milestone as the second K-pop boy group to enter and sell out a North American stadium venue, the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles.
This partnership underscores JYP Entertainment’s commitment to expanding its global market presence. In June 2023, JYP Entertainment strengthened its strategic collaboration with Republic Records, the top label in the United States, aiming to establish a comprehensive global cooperation system. This initiative builds on the success of their collaboration that began with TWICE in February 2020, showcasing the global success of JYP Entertainment artists, such as Stray Kids and ITZY, and elevating K-pop’s position in the global music market. With this partnership, JYP Entertainment and Live Nation are positioned at the forefront of K-pop’s global expansion.
