EXO, NCT, aespa… SM’s 13 Teams Join Weverse on the 12th

Major artists under SM Entertainment are making their debut on HYBE’s global fandom life platform, Weverse.

According to Weverse on the 5th, 13 teams of SM artists will officially open their communities on Weverse on the upcoming 12th.

These artists include Kangta, BoA, TVXQ (Dong Bang Shin Ki), Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT 127, NCT Dream, WayV, aespa, and the recently debuted group, RIIZE.

With this addition, Weverse is reinforcing its lineup with artists who have built dedicated fan bases not only in South Korea but also in Japan, China, Southeast Asia, and around the globe. It solidifies its position as a top-tier global fandom platform. Weverse already has artists like BTS, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, NU’EST, and LaLISA on board.

SM artists will connect with their global fandom through Weverse’s official communities, the commerce platform Weverse Shop, and the official fan club service, Weverse Membership.

Choi Jun-won, the CEO of Weverse Company, expressed his expectations, saying, “With the addition of SM artists to Weverse, we anticipate an accelerated global expansion of Weverse, exceeding 100 million downloads and 10 million Monthly Active Users.”

SM’s entrance into Weverse comes as a result of discussions between HYBE, Kakao, and SM in March. Following HYBE’s decision to halt its acquisition of SM, a collaboration between Kakao and the platform has now materialized. HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-hyuk commented, “I am personally very satisfied with the platform collaboration, which is one of the most important pillars in the K-pop industry.”
