DPR LIVE Announces Name Change to Hong Dabin and Establishes New Label CTYL

Singer DPR LIVE is embarking on a fresh journey in his career. On the 9th, through a live broadcast on social media, DPR LIVE announced the establishment of his new label, CTYL (City Why L), and a name change to his real name, Hong Dabin.

Since his debut in 2017, DPR LIVE had been active under a stage name. He explained the reason for the name change, stating, “Within the world of DPR, it was challenging to encompass all the stories I wanted to tell. As a human, Hong Dabin, I have so much I want to express.”

The name for the new label, CTYL, is derived from DPR LIVE’s signature sound, ‘Coming To You Live.’ He expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “There will undoubtedly be many challenges ahead, but being surrounded by great people gives me strength.”

DPR LIVE made his debut in the hip-hop scene in 2017 with “Know Me” and gained recognition for his musical talent through songs featuring artists like DEAN, Hwasa, Loco, Beenzino, Jay Park, Gray, Crush, and more. He also proved his global influence by embarking on a world tour, including the U.S.’s Coachella Valley and Arts Festival, as well as concerts in 42 cities across Europe, North and South America, and Asia.
