On February 26, BTS’s agency, Big Hit Music, announced through the fan communication platform Weverse that J-Hope has begun the process of fulfilling his mandatory military service.

The agency stated, “To all the fans who love and cherish BTS: we would like to inform you that J-Hope has officially started the process of enlisting for his mandatory military service. J-Hope has completed his request for the cancellation of the postponement of military enlistment, and we will inform you of any further news related to his military enlistment as soon as decisions are made.”

They also added, “Until the day J-Hope completes his military service and returns in good health, we ask for your warm support and unwavering love, and we will continue to spare no effort in supporting and loving our artists.”
