All 12 members of the girl group LOONA have become free from the agency that was embroiled in controversies involving “unfair settlements” and more.

The Seoul High Court Civil Division 5 ruled in favor of the five remaining members of LOONA who filed an appeal for an injunction to suspend the effectiveness of their exclusive contracts with the agency, Blockberry Creative, on the 16th.

With this ruling, the remaining members, HaSeul, YeoJin, Olivia Hye, GoWon, and Choerry, are now able to break free from Blockberry and start a new beginning.

The judge determined that there was a problem with the exclusive contracts as Blockberry transferred the members’ exclusive contracts to the Japanese agency Universal Japan without the members’ written consent.

Since Chu left the group first in November last year, HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, and HyunJin, and ViVi have also left the agency. Now, the remaining five members are also free to pursue activities as they wish.

Chu has joined the agency ATRP, while HeeJin, Kim Lip, JinSoul, and Choerry have joined Mod House, and HyunJin and ViVi have joined CTDENM (City D&NM) respectively. It is expected that the remaining members, whose activities were essentially put on hold indefinitely, will also have the opportunity for a fresh start.
