Big Hit Music, their agency, announced on October 21 that TXT (Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Huening Kai) will be featured in a special collaboration with “Crayon Shin-chan.”
“Crayon Shin-chan” is Japan’s longest-running TV series animation, beloved across generations for 31 years since its first broadcast in 1992. It has been exported to over 40 countries and regions worldwide, including Asia, Europe, and the United States.
On October 28, TXT will make an appearance as characters on a special episode, “Here Comes Tomorrow X Together,” broadcast on TV Asahi in Japan. They will teach the passionate fans of Crayon Shin-chan’s family the choreography for the 5th mini-album track “Happy Fools (feat. Coi Leray).” This song was created with melody by Yeonjun and lyrics contributed by all members. The choreography, to be performed on the show, is a section personally choreographed by Yeonjun.
This episode will also be aired in Korea at a later date, and to accommodate this, TXT has recorded dubbing in both Korean and Japanese.
TXT shared their thoughts, saying, “Recording for the animation was a first for us, and it was a fresh and special experience. Collaborating with Crayon Shin-chan, a character we often watched in our childhood, was really fun. We have prepared a lot beyond the animation, so please look forward to it.”
TXT plans to expand its collaboration across various media, including publishing comics and collaborative products, based on their artist intellectual property (IP). Through collaborations with globally popular characters, we can expect TXT’s status to be further elevated.
