K-pop girl group BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa) concluded their first concert in Vietnam with great success.
According to Vietnamese media outlets such as VNExpress, Tuoi Tre, and ASEAN Daily, the two-day concert was held at the My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi from the 29th to the 30th. On the first day alone, over 30,000 fans gathered to watch the performance.
Despite the rain, devoted fans flocked to see BLACKPINK’s first-ever concert in Vietnam.
As soon as BLACKPINK took the stage, they greeted the audience in Vietnamese, saying “Xin Chao” (Hello). They performed hit songs such as ‘How You Like That,’ ‘Whistle,’ ‘Lovesick Girl,’ and ‘Don’t Know What to Do.’
The group’s performance was enhanced by stunning choreography and fire effects, creating an electrifying atmosphere. One of their biggest hits, ‘Kill This Love,’ ignited the crowd, and Rosé’s rap in ‘Playing with Fire’ received thunderous applause from the fans. The members also engaged the audience by exclaiming “Het Len Di!” (Scream!) in Vietnamese at various moments throughout the show.
During the concert, BLACKPINK also sang their latest album’s title track, ‘Pink Venom,’ and the enthusiastic fans sang along. Towards the end of the performance, they danced to Vietnamese pop star Hoang Thuy Linh’s hit song ‘See Tinh,’ captivating the hearts of the fans.
It was revealed that the Hanoi concert marked the final leg of BLACKPINK’s solo concert tour, ‘Born Pink,’ in Asia.
The ‘Born Pink’ world tour has already generated a revenue of approximately 163.8 million dollars (about 210 billion Korean Won) and sold over 900,000 tickets before the Hanoi concert, making it the highest-grossing girl group tour, surpassing the Spice Girls’ record of 78.2 million dollars.
Despite a few controversies surrounding the use of certain maps and issues related to copyright fees, the concert proceeded as planned without cancellation, thanks to mutual agreements among the parties involved.
