A Chinese drama received much backlash after a photo of BLACKPINK’s Rosé was revealed to have been used without permission, where she was represented as a missing victim.

The production team of the show in question, “Justice in the Dark”, issued a formal apology on their official Weibo page for the unauthorized use of the photo on Feb. 20th.

They stated, “It was a mistake made by the art dept. of the production team for the show “Justice in the Dark”. Due to our team’s negligence in the work, photos of Rosé were accidentally used. Our careless action has adversely affected Rosé’s image and reputation,” and added, “We would like to sincerely apologize to Rosé and her fans, the broadcasting platform, and the viewers.”
